We are seeking for a Data Engineer / Analyst (m/f/d) in full time. Amgen is seeking a talented Data Engineer/Analyst to support the digital transformation at our R&D site in Munich, Germany («Amgen Research (Munich) GmbH»). The exceptional candidate will join our Digital Technical Innovation (DTI) team and support research scientists in configuring, designing and implementing data automation and analysis solutions for Therapeutic Discovery.
Key Responsibilities: Work with cross functional teams across research sites to shape Amgen's next-generation data management system Support the global data automation initiative by integrating instruments, software as well as sample management solutions into Amgen's global IS environment Configure software solutions based on user requirements Develop scripts, extensions, and interfaces in collaboration with software engineers Create, improve, maintain, and document dashboards (Spotfire) that provide meaningful insights to facilitate data-driven decision making and process control Serve as a liaison between DTI functional areas and local research scientists Continually seek opportunities to increase research staff satisfaction in using & adopting DTI technology
Requirements: Master's degree & 2 years of Information Systems experience or Bachelor's degree & 4 years of Information Systems experience Background in Data Science, Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Physics, Chemistry or Life Sciences Experience with data analysis and visualization (preferably with Spotfire) Strong expertise in Python with the ability to write reusable, reliable and maintainable code Experience with relational databases and SQL Understanding of research processes and data flows Experience in laboratory information management systems, instrument interfacing and automation is desired Experience in cloud technologies (AWS preferred), software engineering, DevOps or Java programming is a plus Self-motivated individual with demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in teams Ability to communicate technical ideas in common terms High learning agility, innovation, and analytical skills Professional Working German (or eagerness to learn quickly) and full Professional English
